Weather Station Notes:
From May 2020 through July 24, 2021 rain data was being under reported by 27% due to a software setting issue. The software and settings were updated on July 25, 2021 to correct the issue. Historical data was corrected on July 28, 2021.
The humidity sensor began to show signs of problems in September 2019, which increased in 2020. The sensor seemed to be affected the most during the rainy season, and for the months following (July - December). This caused low readings, and also affected the dew point and "feels like" temperature.
On July 31, 2023 the temperature sensor broke and began reporting -41, and SFCweather was taken offline.
In June 2024 a stand-alone outdoor temperature/humidity sensor was added and SFCweather was put back online. In July 2024 a stand-alone anemometer was added to measure wind speed. Some of the data from June & July 2024 may be incomplete due to testing.
In August 2024 a UV sensor was added to provide real-time UV and ambient light readings.
The weather station was affected by Typhoon Emong that hit the night of July 24, 2025 into the early morning of July 25. Data was collected until July 25 at 7:40 AM. A new all time low pressure reading of 977.9 hPa was logged on July 25, 2025 at 2:52 AM. Data from July 26, 2025 through August 3, 2025 is missing due to a 9.5 day power outage. Also, data from August 10, 2025 is missing due to data corruption.
The anemometer seized up after the typhoon and had to be replaced, so wind data is missing from August 4, 2025 until August 12, 2025. The webcam was also damaged by water and was replaced at that time.
